Life Relaxation Exercise: Amusement Park

Life Relaxation Exercise

Today, you skip school to drive with your friends to your favourite amusement park (Driving Motion).
You run past the turnstile to be the first people on line for the new roller coaster (Run).
You buckle your seatbelts (fasten seatbelts).
As the roller coaster starts to move, you raise your hands in the air (Raise your hands).
The ride moves to the left (sway your hands to the left).
The ride moves to the right (move hands to the right).
You are about to approach a steep slope (motion “steep”), and in your excitement, cry “Oh No!” (cry “Oh no!.)
The ride comes to a stop (push hands forward) and you let out a sigh (sigh).
Then you run back to your friends (run), and get back on line.

Life Relaxation Exercise - April Fools

April Fools
You wake up in the morning and start getting ready for the day (stretch like you do when waking up).
Today is Friday (make and F in the air with both hands).
All the faculty, staff, and students are exhausted (slump over like a rag doll).
Dr. Lytle decided to be nice to the school and cancel all classes today to allow all students to have some rest (Draw and X in the air with hands).
This made all the students, faculty, and staff excited (say YAHOO!).
Dr. Lytle also decided to throw a party to encourage the school to get through the rest of the semester (move arms through air in random motions and directions).
So, at 7 pm (Draw a 7 in the air with arms), be ready to have fun and party hard!
It is going to be such a fun day (draw a happy face)!
Then you realize that it is April 1 (Draw a #1 in the air)
And everything is a joke because it is April Fools Day (give a deep belly laugh).
So, you sigh and finish getting ready for your day of classes (sigh).

Life Relaxation - Baseball

Its game day and you are headed to watch your favorite baseball team play. You walk into the stadium and look around (raise hand to eyes and look around) and see all the people. The game is about to start. You climb stairs (walk up the steps) to find your seats and sit (sit in your seat) down in your seat. The first batter is getting ready to bat and is stretching out on the field (stretch arms). He then steps up to bat. You stand up (stand) excitedly as the game has begun! The pitcher winds up and throws the first pitch (throwing motion). The batter swings (swing a bat) and hits the ball! The ball goes flying (stretch arm as if it is the ball flying) out to right field. The outfielder chases (fast arm motions as if you are running) the ball to the wall. However, it is a homerun! The fans wave their hands (wave) and cheer (YAHOO!!!) as their team has taken an early lead! As the game progresses, the score get tied up and the fans get worried (worry, bite nails). It all comes down to your final batter. There are runners on first (draw a 1 with both your hands) and third (draw and 3 with both your hands). The batter needs to get a hit. The pitcher delivers the pitch (throw a ball) and the batter swings (Swing a bat) and hits the ball. The runners all take off (running motion with arms) and the person on third scores (make safe motion with arms). The game is over, your team has won! You sigh a breath of relief (sigh).

Life Relaxation Exercise: Theatre

Life Relaxation Exercise

Everyone's favourite Broadway show is coming to the Scranton Cultural Center! Yay! It's opening night, and you and your friends are seeing a production of (you guessed it!); The Phantom of the Opera! Before the show begins, everyone gets ready. The costume designers are sewing up tears and loose buttons. The actors are rehearsing blocking changes and troubleshooting lines. The stage manager administers directions to the members of the cast and crew. The pit band members are warming up. A bass player draws a bow across his instrument, and making sure its in tune. One of the string players forgot their bow! Oh no! But one of the cello players had an extra! *Sigh* After the cast and crew is all ready, one of the crew members draws open the curtain, and the show begins!
